Will DDR3 video card work in a DDR2 motherboard?

I currently have a DDR2 motherboard with a pci express x16 slot. Can I use a DDR3 pci express x16 card temporarly until I get a new DDR3 motherboard?|||ddr3 is the memory physically on the video card. That has nothing to do with the type of memory that your motherboard requires. Yes it will work assuming other things are compatible ex: power supply is good enough.|||Yes, DDR is memory. Memory on the Motherboard is also DDR, but it can be different then the video card.

I currently use DDR2 memory on my motherboard and DDR3 memory on my Video card.|||They are independent, so it doesnt matter
