If I had a DDR3 video card I wouldn't take the advantage of been DDR3 if I use DDR2 memory RAM?

If I had a DDR3 video card I wouldn't take the advantage of been DDR3 if I use DDR2 memory RAM, unless the mother's bord architecture were Hyper Transport?

Thank you very much.|||The memory on the graphics card is completely independent of the system's memory. The memory of the graphics card is used to hold display information that is only used by the graphics card. Within the graphics card, it will use it to its full speed. The System memory (RAM as you put it) is used to hold your programs and other system information.|||Your Motherboards RAM has nothing to do with your Video cards RAM type.

Unless it's integrated video.
