My motherboard is ddr1 can i use ddr2 or ddr3 video card? my motherboard is MSI PM8M3-v DDR1 tnx?

can i use a ddr2 or ddr3? tnx i nid a answer|||You can use any video card that will fit your motherboard (you have an older AGP graphics slot, which new cards won't work with) as long as that card will fit inside your case.

Memory on a video card is separate from the motherboard memory, and can be different types.

Otherwise, no-one would be able to use the latest GDDR5 memory based PCI Express video cards.|||Yes, you could, my friend. The type of RAM that your computer uses makes no difference to what type of VRAM (Video RAM) that you can use.

You do realise [realize, if you're one of my American cousins], don't you, that your motherboard has an AGP 4X/8X video card slot? This will limit your upgrade options somewhat as AGP video cards are getting thinner on the ground. i.e. they're harder to find than PCI-express ones, which are a later design and more powerful.
