Will a ddr2 video card work in the same computer as a ddr1?

i am trying to upgrade from a agp 128 Gforce fx5200 but because there is now ddr2 & ddr3 video cards i am not sure if they would work in the same com as a ddr1|||video card is totally independent of your system ram ... so even if your board is DDR1 ... any graphics card (suitable agp card) regardless of the speed of the onboard ram be it DDR2 or DDR3 will work with your system
