Can ddr2 motherboard fit the ddr3 video card?

i want to buy ddr3 nvidia 9800 gt or nvidia 260 gtx but will my motherboard fit those video cards cause my motherboard is ddr2 and video cards are ddr2?|||The "systems" memory (RAM) has nothing to do with you graphics card memory...they work independently of each other. IF you have a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot available and a good 450W PSU or better either of those card will fit....However...there is more to it than just that. low end processor, low amount of system RAM all play a part in how well your games will play.|||Video and system RAM don't share the same bus.

Therefore, they don't have to match.

All that is important are:

1) Your power supply is of sufficient wattage

2) The interface on the motherboard (PCIe) matches the card.
