Is a drr2 video card better than a ddr3 video card?

I am going to upgrade my graphics card. I all ready have nvidia geforce 8400 512mb ddr2. but i want to upgrade. I was looking at 2 video cards. one is a 1 gb ddr2 and one is 1 gb ddr3. Is there really that much of a difference|||No not really. There will most likely be a faster data transfer rate on the ddr3 video card - but it wont be very significant. Don't bother blowing a whole lot extra on the ddr3 card unless it is a lot better than the other card. ( 20 GB or more bandwidth increased from the ddr2 card ) Check your video cards here at this site. It will give you all the details you need to compare: http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php

I personally use this site to compare video cards.|||There's no way for us to know the difference between two graphics cards if you don't tell us which graphics cards they are. Knowing what type of memory they use and how much memory they have tells us very little about how good they are.
