Question about video card?

I have an am2 processor and it supports ddr2 ram. Can my motherboard support a ddr3 video card? Is the ddr2 same for the ram and video card?|||The memory on the video card has NOTHING to do with the memory on the motherboard. Video cards are currently using GDDR5 on upper-end models. Do you see any motherboards using GDDR5? Nope.
